"Foot Notes: An Organ Recital" was presented at Moody Methodist Church in Galveston, Texas, on August 22, 2024 by Mary Jean Sargent, AAGO.

The title of this piece is a pun on “playing Dixie”. The main theme starts off slowly and in a minor key, reminiscent of someone who is rather depressed about a feather in his hat. The theme then repeats in major at double the speed, and variations (both slow and fast, happy and sad) follow.
