How to Pin & Unpin apps to the start menu or to the taskbar on Windows 11

Pinning apps to your start menu or to your task bar can be useful if you want to have quick access to your preferred apps.


To pin apps to your start menu first click on the start icon
Next click on "All apps".
Right click on the app you want to pin to the start menu, let's say "Alexa"
Then click on "Pin to start"
Now let's test it.
As you can see i now have the Alexa app pinned to my start menu.
If you want to unpin an app, right click on it then click unpin from start.

Now if you want to pin an app to your taskbar go to "all apps".
And right click on the app you want to pin to your taskbar, let's say "Calculator"
Then select "More"
Then Pin to taskbar.
As you can see i now have Calculator pinned to my taskbar.
To unpin it, right click on it on the taskbar
Then unpin from taskbar.
