Sean Gagnon is an automotive program instructor at Universal Technical Institute's (UTI) Lisle, Illinois, location. Starting out as a high school student working at a local Firestone, Sean learned that working on cars was more than a part-time job for him.

By attending UTI himself, Sean was able to build a career as a professional technician for over 10 years. Sean then decided to give back what was once given to him: knowledge.

As an instructor at UTI, Sean Gagnon believes in providing a similar value to his students that his previous instructors imparted to him. He says the automotive field is rewarding because every day brings a new challenge. It's so meaningful, Sean says, to diagnose and fix car problems. Teaching is also incredibly enjoyable, Sean says.
