Happy Mocap Monday Everyone!

Over the last couple of months, I have been working on various projects, learning new technologies, and building up my skills/portfolio. It has been crazy, but I love what I am doing. Plus, it is amazing to see the growth I have achieved in the last few years, not only in terms of skills but also the opportunities, connections, and mentors whom I am extremely thankful for.

After going through my project files, I decided to create another Mocap data reel. Creating these reels helps show my progress, and in the end, I can use them for final animation renders.

This one was from my Job shadow that I conducted at Haptix Studio. I recorded this data with their in-house OptiTrack system and their staff members. After recording this data, I used OptiTrack Motive to clean the data further and then imported into Autodesk MotionBuilder for rendering. To get a better camera angle and view for renders, I used the tracking camera setup for MotionBuilder. Definitely going to use this tool for future projects, not only in Mobu, but other 3D software as well. It is another tool added to the toolbox, and I am excited to see what I will learn next.

I plan on getting these animations retargeted before the summer is over and creating one more reel to show the final output. I hope you enjoy it and continue Mocapping everyone.
