Mispolm is not to be dealt with lightly. Its own attacks seem relatively harmless (Grumpkin, the thorn whip(s) and when on low HP Barrage Sting), but the sprouts/minions add greatly to the difficulty. They also use Grumpkin aside from Poison Bubble, Sleep Flower and Wall to reflect a spell once. When Mispolm uses Barrage Sting, they, too, shoot out a vine, so the more of them there are, the more difficult to avoid Barrage Sting becomes. They also explode in a wide radius once defeated and spawn throughout the battle and apparently spawn when Mispolm reaches certain HP thresholds (thanks for Nesouk Kefka for confirming this!). The battle starts with two minions and at some value under 50% HP, Mispolm spawns 4 in quick succession which makes things very hectic.

Getting rid of the minions, then, becomes paramount and Hawkeye's Ninja Master class is well suited for the task. All of his Ninjutsu moves get an upgrade which makes them target ALL enemies on the field, no matter their number. While this strategy sounds powerful, and it is, it's not perfect because the moment one of the minions casts Wall, you cannot cast any of those fancy Ninjutsus without eating damage yourself thanks to the reflecting damage. You either have to get rid of the Walled minions physically or wait until the effect passes naturally. Anyway, the Ninjutsu's debuffs also come in handy together with the slew of skills increasing Hawkeye's damage output in numerous ways.

All in all, a challenging and satisfying boss to beat. Also, if you're wondering why I keep jumping to avoid Barrage Sting at the end, it's because I once had a pretty much perfect take ruined by Mispolm using the attack twice in a row WITHOUT any on-screen display. I'm not sure if that was just a bug or if the attack can randomly go off twice, but yeah, I didn't want to get another take ruined by this shit...
