Moog Labyrinth | Two years after the 2024 launch wave

Описание к видео Moog Labyrinth | Two years after the 2024 launch wave

You may have missed it, but when Labyrinth was launched in 2024, it kind of exploded in all nooks and crannies of the synthesis world. Moog has been very generous and far from picky, but they missed the Lab so I got one myself on a Black Friday sales.

So today, two years later, it's time for the Lab to wipe the dust from it. Let's look back on this weird hybrid Moogla which is coasted way more West than East. It's incredible how time flies. I am proud and happy to be the only one on Youtube doing a 'two year later' video so you can see how it holds up. I'd say it's doing fine and it's still going strong. For some strange reason, original classic Moogs get vintage while Buchla designs will always be hot and innovative. Labyrinth is a timeless machine and I am sure it still serves you well if you didn't get lost in its parallel generative multiverse.

It's OK to have a few WTF moments because time travel isn't yet fully developed, and past, present and future are exponential concepts.
This is perfectly normal.

Sidenote
I did not want to get a Labyrinth and the launch wave didn't help. I told myself 'no' many times because I have plenty of Serge, TTA/Buchla and MakeNoise. First, I made a video about recreating it using existing gear but I did not post it. It would still be 'no' if I did not have the M32, DFAM and Sub. I was missing a 4th element to make a quartet and put them in a big Behringer 140 HP case. My 'yes' was purely based on empty space. The idea of the 'two years later' came because my Subharmonicon video is one of my best performing ones. From the perspective of making content it did not matter if I made this video in 2024 or in 2026. Labyrinth needs that two year experience with Buchla, Serge and MakeNoise to get the most of it. And the only moment in life where you can really do something is here and now. So this video is sponsored by me to have fun, to help you out, to show off, to teach a few westcoast concepts and to tickle the Moog company (I make cool videos too).
