JRD Birth Anniversary

Ever since JRD Tata, former Chairman, Tata Sons, learnt to fly, he never stopped. He kept soaring high to Destination Tomorrow with many first-ever concepts. Besides opening the skies for India as its first commerical pilot and airline chief, he remained a ceaseless explorer of new horizons. A pace-setter in social welfare, industrial harmony and technology; he was bestowed with the French Legion of Honor in 1983 and Bharat Ratna in 1992. Even today, he flies with us in spirit as we rise to new heights of progress.

On his 114th birth anniversary, we wish the Pilot of Extraordinary Ideas, a very Happy Birthday!
