Unboxing a CV1052 (POVT181 10E/11398 OM9 1637 VT52 EL32) audio output power pentode vacuum tube. This valve is probably new & in its original box (NOS new old stock NIB new in box). The valve base is a brown international octal A08 K8A. The valve also has a top connection cap. The clear glass envelope has the broad up arrow (British Government mark), 6001 (or 6901) inside a square & CV 1052, KB/DA (inside a rectangle) printed on it in white. Also on the glass is the factory/date code M0 2 B8L4 (or B8L◿). M0 is the code for the type EL32 (reference https://frank.pocnet.net/other/Philip... ). The B factory code is for Mullard, Blackburn.
Printed on one end of the plain white box is VALVE ELECTRONIC, CV1052, 470093 QTY 1 DA. Handwritten is EL32.
The type CV1052 was first introduced in 1940. It has a heater filament voltage requirement of 6.3 volts. The commercial version of this tube was the type EL32.
