This mod seamlessly blends pre-hardmode and early hardmode Calamity and Fargo’s Souls together, with combining the entire journey being the main goal. Fargo’s post-Moon Lord bosses are scattered in terms of progression, having various places in Calamity’s roster of bosses. The fights themselves are all well done, using unique, interesting attacks (and sometimes even mechanics, looking at the Perforators), and they’re new experiences compared to OG Calamity, which I enjoyed.

The Old Duke is one of my least favorite bosses in general in OG Calamity, and I don’t think that’s controversial. It dashes from half a screen away, predicts your moves with startling accuracy, shreds your HP unless you, too, are half a screen away, and summoning it is an enormous pain, just so you can get yourself killed and need to start the process all over again. Infernum didn’t do much better in fixing it, just making the dashes harder and projectile spam worse. Fargo’s, however, keeps the dashes that made it iconic without making them unbearable. Sure, they can predict, but they don’t happen so quickly that you can’t react, and you don’t need to be two miles away to have a chance at dodging it. Sure, it works in tandem with its rain of shark chunks, but there’s plenty of space to maneuver. Sure, it’s still got the vortex and tooth balls, but they aren’t unbearable. It doesn’t feel like the oppressive, annoying, meaningless side quest of a monster that it was, and for me, it didn’t feel unfair. This mod has done the impossible in making an iteration of the Old Duke that I actually enjoyed fighting.
