At a recent rally in Haryana, Rahul Gandhi unveiled seven key promises designed to enhance the lives of residents in the state. He emphasized empowering women by offering ₹2,000 in monthly support and gas cylinders at ₹500. To strengthen social security, he proposed a ₹6,000 pension for the elderly, disabled, and widows, along with the restoration of the old pension scheme. For the youth, he committed to guaranteeing 200,000 job recruitments and creating a drug-free Haryana. Additionally, he pledged prosperity for every family by providing 300 units of free electricity and free medical treatment up to ₹2.5 million. To address housing needs, he promised 100 sq. yards of land and two-room houses constructed at a cost of ₹350,000. Farmers would benefit from a legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) and immediate crop compensation. Lastly, he advocated for the rights of backward classes through a caste-based survey and a creamy layer limit set at ₹1 million. These commitments reflect Gandhi's focus on addressing various socio-economic issues while emphasizing empowerment, security, and development in Haryana.
