This video shows how to change the hydraulic filters on an excavator, CAT 314E. This is a generic maintenance procedure that can be used for most other excavator makes and models as well, such as John Deere, Komatsu, Hitachi, and Volvo. Always remember to vent the hydraulic tank first to avoid a pressurized oil spill, and consult your manufacturer specs to make sure you purchase the correct filter sizes.
