The following rights and duties are placed on the person conducting business or undertaking (PCBU), officers and workers based on the requirements outlined by the Work Heath and Safety Act 2011 (NSW).

PCBU: In accordance with the Work Health and Safety act 2011 (NSW), The title of person conducting business or undertaking (PCBU) is assigned to the person in charge at an organisation - such as an employer. With this title, PCBU’s are legally responsible for ensuring compliance with the WHS Act.

Officer: The title of an individual whose role is responsible for ensuring that a person conducting business or undertaking (PCBU) is fulfilling their WHS duty.

Workers: All employees, regardless of level of authority, have responsibilities in relation to maintaining health and safety in the workplace.
