The Scania R 580 6×4 V8 truck created a new CV segment in India. With ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) accepting the premium truck under the new puller category, the CV is now officially on sale in India.

The certification recognizes R 580 6×4 as a puller with Gross Combination Weight (GCW) of 200 tonnes when coupled to multi-axle trailer. The V8 engine makes R 580 6×4 the most powerful on-road truck ever in India.
