In America's west coast there are two owl species that struggle to co-habit. The spotted owl (Strix occidentalis) and the barred owl (Strix varia). The barred owl is to overpowering for the nearly extinct spotted owl, so US wildlife officials have decided to hunt over half a million barred owls to help the spotted owl.
