Warhammer 40,000: Darktide doesn't have the most clear story. There's a lot of information we got before Darktide even launched through trailers and the vox transmissions.

When the timeline is pieced together, it's clear that Darktide has a richer story appropriate for the 40k universe, and could go in a lot of directions.
