In a world obsessed with productivity, KPIs, and crushing that never-ending to-do list, there's one thing we often overlook: the serious business of having #fun. Yes, you read that right. Fun isn't just for kids or weekends. It's a crucial part of our lives, and it's time we treat it with the importance it deserves. And just like any important task, it needs guidelines, purpose, and a dash of seriousness.

Sheetal, Nilesh and I have been in this line of work (3 Techies Banter #3TB) for a while now. We have reached a point where it does appear effortless. Like Sachin Tendulkar's straight drive past the bowler or Roger Federer's one-handed backend crosscourt passing shot. At the Dartmouth commencement, Roger (yeah... I just call him Roger 😎) did say that effortless is a "MYTH". It takes a lot of hard work. And like any serious business, it has its own fun-damentals. So here goes.

Schedule It In:
Yes, fun deserves a spot on your calendar. Think of it as a “mandatory joy session.” Block out time for activities that make you smile, laugh, and forget about those spreadsheets. It could even be listening to our #funtech podcast 😉. After all, nobody’s last words were, “I wish I’d spent more time working on PowerPoint slides.”

Be Spontaneous:
While scheduling is great, leave room for spontaneous bursts of fun. Plan a weekend road trip without a destination and listen to 3 Techies Banter #3TB en route 😁. John Lennon was onto something when he said, “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.”

Embrace the Ridiculous:
Don’t be afraid to be silly. Wear that inflatable T-Rex costume to the supermarket or listen to the fun trivia we share via 3 Techies Banter #3TB Shorts. Walt Disney got it right: “Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.”

Andrew Jackson, a man after my own heart, got it spot on when he said, “There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; the fun is having lots to do and not doing it.” 😂 🤣 😂
