Описание к видео Noob Cook Tries Cooking Hafeez's Mum Recipe - Shakshuka | Noob Cooks | EP 4

In this episode of Noob Cooks, we challenge beginner cook Brenda to make Mama Liza's (a.k.a Hafeez’s Mum) Shakshuka! However, she won't know what she’s cooking, and has to listen to Hafeez’s instructions to complete the task.

We hope to show that cooking doesn't always go perfectly the first time; we encourage all of you to step into the kitchen and give it a try!

Ingredients needed:
1 yellow onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 capsicum, diced
1 tomato, diced
250g minced beef
2 eggs
Tomato sauce
Chilli sauce
Black pepper
Salt
Cumin powder
Bread (optional)

Recipe used: Mama Liza's Shakshuka
1. Dice the onion.
2. Mince the garlic.
3. Dice the capsicums and tomatoes.
4. Add a bit of oil into a frying pan and fry the onions until fragrant.
5. Add the garlic and stir well till it starts to brown.
6. Stir in the minced beef until it's cooked through (If the mixture is too dry, add a bit of water).
7. Add the diced tomatoes.
8. Add the tomato sauce and a bit of chilli sauce for colour and taste. (*Mama Liza's tip: Mix 2 parts of Del Monte tomato sauce and 1 part of Maggi tomato sauce. Alternatively, you can use just 1 part of any tomato sauce.)
9. Add salt, pepper, and a dash of cumin powder.
10. Add the diced capsicums. Stir well till sauce thickens.
11. (Optional) While waiting for the sauce to thicken, toast the bread.
12. Make a well in the sauce and break the eggs in.
13. Repeat process based on the number of eggs, cover the pan and let eggs cook to preferred doneness.
