Hatching a nest of eggs is not exactly an easy process. A hen mallard will lay one egg a day and will need to hide not only herself but the clutch of eggs until they hatch for a total of over 30 days going undetected by predators.

Ducks today face a changing landscape. Prior to the 1950s, skunks and raccoons were uncommon in the Prairie Pothole Region. Now both are abundant throughout the PPR. Delta Waterfowl’s Predator Management gives nesting ducks a fighting chance.

The Million Duck Campaign is bold and ambitious. Producing 1 million additional wild ducks, every year, through effective programs. No one has ever achieved duck production on this scale.
