Repotting Maudiae Paphiopedilums // Why paphs need annual repotting

This paphiopedilum repotting was filmed a month ago when these guys were in desperate need of it, but I've included pics of the plants in their current state also. It's a long video but I show you the root systems of many paphs, mostly maudiae (mottled) types and some theories as to why I think some a lot of them were not doing so well. I've lost one since but overall they have enjoyed the repot and it does seem they need it more than the average orchid.
