The show had a massive cliffhanger, leaving fans frustrated years after its cancellation. Fresco shared that they intentionally ended the season on a cliffhanger, hoping to push Netflix for a renewal. He later realized that most shows only last about three seasons unless they achieve massive success like Stranger Things. According to Fresco, Netflix contracts reportedly include bonuses that disincentivize ordering additional seasons, making it less profitable for the platform to continue shows beyond three seasons.
