Learn about the biblical Ten Commandments.

You know, a long time ago, Yah — the Most High — gave us something really special. He gave us ten powerful instructions, like loving directions from a Father who wants us to live good lives full of peace, joy, and truth. We call them the Ten Commandments. And even though they’re really, really old, they still matter today.

Let me tell you what they are.

Commandment One: Yah said, “You shall have no other gods before Me.”
That means we should worship only Him — the one who made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and every one of us.
Sometimes, people get off track and start worshipping other things — like angels, stars, or even powerful people. But those are all created things. Yah is the one who created everything. We must never forget that He is above it all. He’s not just a god. He’s the Most High.

Commandment Two: Yah said, “Do not make idols.”
You see, sometimes people start making statues or pictures of things Yah made — like animals, people, or heavenly beings — and they bow down to them or treat them like they have power.
Now, Yah made many amazing things — mountains, oceans, lions, and even you! It’s okay to admire them, to say, “Wow, that’s beautiful!” But He doesn’t want us to start worshipping those things. He doesn’t want us to get caught up in admiring something our own hands made — like a shiny statue or painting — so much that we forget the one who gave us the ability to make it in the first place. Yah wants our worship, not our works.

Commandment Three: Yah said, “Do not take My name in vain.”
That means we should always speak Yah’s name with respect. We don’t say it as a joke, or when we’re angry, or carelessly. His name is holy, and it deserves honor.

Commandment Four: Yah said, “Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.”
He gave us one day every week — a whole day! — to rest, be with our families, enjoy His creation, and spend special time with Him. We don’t need to work or stress — just rest and be refreshed.

Commandment Five: Yah said, “Honor your father and mother.”
That means we listen to and respect our parents. It pleases Yah when we do, and it helps us learn to honor Him too.

Commandment Six: Yah said, “Do not murder.”
Life is a gift from Yah. We’re supposed to protect life, not harm others. Every person matters to Him.

Commandment Seven: Yah said, “Do not commit adultery.”
That’s a big way of saying we should keep our promises in marriage. Yah wants our families to be built on trust and love.

Commandment Eight: Yah said, “Do not steal.”
Even if no one sees us, Yah does. We should never take what doesn’t belong to us.

Commandment Nine: Yah said, “Do not lie.”
Yah is truth, and when we speak the truth — even when it’s hard — we’re walking in His ways.

Commandment Ten: Yah said, “Do not covet.”
That means we shouldn’t be jealous of what others have — their toys, their clothes, their house, anything. Yah knows what we need, and He gives us good things in the right time.

So those are the Ten Commandments. They're not just rules on a stone tablet — they’re like a special light that helps us walk the right way. They teach us how to love Yah and how to love each other.

And when we follow them with joy, our lives shine bright. Just like Yah planned.
