Celebrating Earth Day with REWILDING!

We took a trip to Earth University to rewild three amazing Two-Fingered Sloths!

We walked back into the forest to find the perfect places for them to climb up into the canopy.

First, we helped Jason get #BackInTheTrees! This sloth came to us with serious injuries, including a fractured femur and dislocated hip. He underwent orthopedic surgery and spent almost 2-months recovering in our clinic, but now he is climbing like a champ!

Next, we watched as Christine climbed her way to freedom. She was found by the side of the road where she may have been hit by a car. Luckily, her injuries were not too severe, and she recovered quickly. See you later, Christine!

Last but not least, TinTin is on his way as well! He came to the clinic with a slight fracture in his finger and blistered pads. Because of this, he may have suffered from mild localized electrocution. Thankfully, it didn’t take too long to heal, and he is also ready for a life #BackInTheTrees!

These success stories warm our hearts, but as our Veterinarian Assistant Andres says, “The best animal is the one we don’t receive”.
