Hurricane Florence was one of the worst natural disasters ever to strike the state of North Carolina. Over the course of 18 days, the storm tumultuously intensified to a category 4 hurricane before landing as a category 1 on Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Several of my friends, their families, and my own were affected by this terrible storm which left 40 dead, hundreds injured, and thousands displaced. These are real figures which, compiled among + $17 billion in damages, are scary to think about. To recover and rebuild, we must work together to donate money and supplies to funds in support of such restoration efforts.
