"Under Water" is a heart-borne real account of a mother caring for her autistic child. The narrative also provides a glimpse of what it might be like to be autistic and trying to navigate in a typical world. Both the mother and child are doing what seems impossible at times - breathing underwater. I wrote this story through song because it is my and my daughter's story, but it is not just about us; it's for anyone who has faced various challenges in life and felt like they were drowning. This story, through song, conveys hope and reminds us that we are not alone.
