The Mars Spaceship

Описание к видео The Mars Spaceship

The Mars Spaceship, I guess, is a re-imagined, enlarged version by John Greenfield of a 1954 model. The original plan by Roy Clough, his 1954 'Anti Gravity Martian Spaceship', a 1930s style 'Flash Gordon' style of craft was published in Model Builder magazine.

The original model was smaller and driven by a Wasp .049 I.C. motor. This particular lightweight model is very much larger and has an LiPo electric drive. It is not a blimp and so does not contain Helium!

Its weird torpedo shape has, I suppose, what we would call a' lifting body' these days. It rolls, loops and even prop hangs and is very quiet. Wingless, weird and wonderful all at the same time.
