Welcome to our Kongernes Jelling Vlog! 🇩🇰 In this video we're discovering the Home of the Viking Kings in Jelling, Denmark. If you're planning a trip to Billund or Denmark and love history, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see!

Kongernes Jelling is a museum and visitor centre right next to the Jelling Monuments in Jelling, Denmark. This area was once the home of the Viking Kings of Denmark, like Gorm the Old and Harald Blåtand (Bluetooth). We were staying in nearby Billund and really wanted to see the famous Jelling Stones.

The Jelling Monuments is a collective term for Jelling Church (built by King Harald Bluetooth), the two giant burial mounds (the final resting place of Viking royalty) and the incredible Jelling Stones. These large carved runestones tell the story of the time when Jelling was the centre of Danish history. The stones are now enclosed in glass for protection and the Kongernes Jelling museum tells their story.

The Jelling Museum is part of the National Museum of Denmark and uses amazing exhibits to show what Jelling looked like during the reign of the Viking Kings. We really enjoyed learning more about the history of the Vikings and the Danish royals. Kongernes Jelling is a great place to visit for anyone interested in this fascinating period of history.
