On this final day of 2025, cold wave has settled in with icy winds dragging down feels like temperatures. Cold wave alerts are being issued across Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do province.
Meanwhile, dry weather advisory remains in place along the east coast and parts of Gyeongsangnam-do Province and with strong winds continuing, fire safety is a must!
This afternoon, Seoul stays below freezing all day at minus 3 degrees Celsius, Daegu gets up to 2 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Many of you may be planning to watch the last sunset of the year or the first sunrise of the New Year. Good news—most inland areas will stay clear. And in Seoul, the final sunset of the year will be at 5:23 p.m.
When you are heading out, be sure to bundle up well, on New Year's Day morning starts at to minus 11 degrees Celsius in the capital and severe cold wave continues through Saturday morning. There could be heavy snow in parts of Jeolla-do and on Jeju Island. Please take extra care!
