How does a heat pump tumble dryer work?

A heat pump tumble dryer is a more sustainable and energy efficient alternative to the conventional condenser dryer.

Using a closed heat exchange system, a heat pump tumble dryer dries clothes at a lower temperature. Rather than releasing freshly warmed air, it reuses the air that has already passed through the drum to absorb moisture from your clothes. Once it’s made its way through the drum, it goes through an evaporator to remove the moisture, and the remaining air is reheated to continue drying your clothes.
