Most of the verses are Jacob POV, the chorus' are Edward and half of the second verse.

This is just the story of how Jacob is trying his best to win over Bella and push her towards choosing him. As she states in the end New Moon (movie) she doesn't want him to make her choose...because it'll be Edward. The song really captures what Eclipse is about: war. In the middle of Eclipse Edward refuses to put Bella in that kind of situation so he backs off. Jacob, however, continues to fight.
