How to record guitar amps using multiple mics, Vlog #1

Описание к видео How to record guitar amps using multiple mics, Vlog #1

Sometimes when I'm recording guitar amps I like to use more than one microphone. There can be problems that happen when you do this however. Unless the microphones are all exactly the same distance from the amplifier, phasing issues and comb filtering effects can drastically change the sound you are desiring. There are several ways to combat this. In this video I'll show you a way to use plugins to sync up the sound patterns so phasing issues aren't as apparent. You can also use these plugins to tailor the sound of your recorded amp as well.

The microphones I'm using in this video are inexpensive MXR ribbon microphones and a Shure SM57.
