I chose this Frantz bypass kit over the Amsoil system due to the low cost of maintenance as compared to the more expensive spin on filters.

The initial cost of a bypass system can be overwhelming if you are used to paying $20 for an oil change. Think of it this way, you can go much farther between oil changes due to the cleaning of the oil.

Over the road trucks are using bypass filters to keep their oil clean well beyond 100 hours of heavy duty service. Gulf coast filters have a proven track record of extending oil changes due to depth filtration, the same technology as the Frantz system.
