This video features my process from harvesting a Douglas fir tree, milling the wood into planks, and building with those materials. The mill is my own construction and design, utilizing a craftsman 80" bandsaw mounted on a rolling carriage. The wheels represented the greatest challenge of the project. The wheel rims are composed of seven felloes cut from two by five stock. They are then joined to each other with a floating tongue and pegs.
