In this video, I talk about the importance of Python programing in GIS and ArcGIS in general. You actually don't need to program much, but it will make your life considerably easier.

Also, I was going to include an example of creating an easy repeatable python tool for ArcGIS, but I realized I should create a whole bunch to show just how easy it is to create tools.
