Honda CB450 K5 1972. This is a video I made in May 2018 of my Honda CB450 K5, It was made on the spur of the moment with no preparation or planning of any sort so please bear with.
I talk about what I've done during it's restoration but missed out most of the finer details to limit it's length and not to bore you.
So many items replaced such as every rubber piece, coils, electrical wiring, combined rectifier/regulator, premium battery, condensers, points, starter solenoid, mod to H/T caps to accept Iridium spark plugs, tail light, all new bearings, bushes, oil seals, 'O' rings, fork seals and oil, F&R sprockets, chain, polished s/steel fasteners, carb to engine rubbers, handlebars and grips, cables, springs, brake pads/shoes, brake calliper kit, complete clutch, gear change spindle, gearbox springs, stoppers and indents, starter motor parts, front brake reservoir and hose, petrol tap kit, Neoprene/Nitrile fuel pipes, mirrors, seat cover, air filters, Hagon rear suspension units, chrome trim, fully rebuilt wheels new Avon tyres. Frame, swinging arm, headlamp shell, chain guard and tail piece all painted in black epoxy paint, front and rear mudguards (fenders) rust protected underneath then finished with Hammerite underbody Waxoyl sealant.
Later I decided to fully rebuild the engine while it was out originally just just to replace the cam chain, absolutely no expense spared here on new engine parts and machine work, I'm sure I will have missed out many other items replaced?
No big hammers have been used on this bike.
I have receipts for all the work and parts replaced.
