How I added a USB/Electrical outlets to a pair of nightstands

I recently saw a woodworker installing these USB outlets on Instagram and thought it was a great idea........

In this video I show how I added a USB/Electrical power outlets to a pair of nightstands .

These USB outlets come with a 10 foot cord allowing you to charge your electronic devices in a more convenient place in your home.

I installed a USB outlet to the each nightstand side that faces the bed. The installation of the usb outlets was pretty simple, I just measured the actual size of the outlet then transferred those measurements onto some painters tape that I placed on the side of the nightstand and cut out the opening using an oscillating multi tool, I reinforced the inside of the opening by adding some 1/2" blocks for the mounting screws. Next I drilled a 1 1/4" hole in each bottom to allow the 10 foot cord to exit the nightstand.
