A story of a father who loved his family more than anything else, he did the best he could. Along the way things did not go well with his wife, Physical and emotional abuse was the order of the day he wanted to call it quits but he looked into the eyes of his daughter and knew if he walked away from her at that tender age things might not work out so well for her. He sacrificed his everything just to make sure she grows to be a gracious lady guiding and giving her wise counsel. On this night as she sleeps peacefully, her father's heart is in turmoil, He doesn't want her to see him walk away from them so he sings this song to her and begs her for forgiveness. He leaves a broken man but contented he protected his daughter from the violence that was meted out against them in the dysfunctional marriage.
