Описание к видео AD ASTRA — Site Zero (Animation Test)

So for like a year now I’ve been working on a sci-fi worldbuilding project called Ad Astra with some of my friends and now that I have figured out how to Animate, I made a little short clip of a deep space exploration ship being catapulted into the sky. This event marks the very beginning of the Ad Astra universe’s timeline, so I wanted to animate it.

If you didn’t watch the video (Or you want more context to what is happening), An exploratory vessel has been prepared to launch from the surface of a War-scarred Earth, being the first crewed ship to be launched off the Star Catapult Launch Site 0. Once the ship is ready, the bridge is unlatched, the docking arm reels back, and the ship is dropped into the catapult’s pit. Two large blocks of a dense material rise up quickly, and once they drop down, the ship is launched. Throwing up a plume of dust and smoke.

I am very proud of this animation I made, as it took ~2 days to animate and a few hours dedicated to editing sounds and credits into the video. I like how the final product turned out, and my last-minute decision to add a little chime when the “Ad Astra” screen popped up was probably a better choice than to not have it there.

In the credits, I forgot to change the “8/23/2025” to a “10/23/2025” because I made it in October, not August. I also forgot to add the fact that I made the little music thing during the “Ad Astra” screen in GarageBand.

If you want to see more videos like this, and explore my Worldbuilding project more in-depth, like the video and subscribe to my channel! It really helps me to know that there are people intrigued in these projects I do, because I put a lot of time and effort into them, and I don’t like those things to go to waste. So It’s good to know people like the stuff I make. Thanks!
