Also called "Single Player Co Op" or "Forever Alone Mode" in the Extras Shop, Solitaire Multiplayer mode allows you to control 2 or 3 characters with 1 controller at the same time.

Using this mode, you can combo into moves that are too slow to combo, or combo after moves that are too slow to recover.

I made a few Solitaire Multiplayer combos and then stopped looking at them, so I thought I'd take a closer look at F.Norris throw starters with Ricardo.

F.Norris IMO benefits more from this mode than the other 2 characters; he has 2 throws that recover too slowly to allow him to combo afterward without SP. His jumping throw becomes a really good throw starter in Solitaire MP.

Notation:

I use CPU keypad notation for directions; 8=up, 4=left, 6=right, 2=down, 5=neutral.
A=attack, J=jump, S=special
x = that particular hit in the chain doesn't occur; ie if I write xxxA, that means you perform F.Norris' 4th hit of his chain ie press A 1 time, not press A 4 times

-I don't think I did the 66A4J - 66 at the beginning properly
-if you intend to combo after Norris' backthrow into a combo, it might be easier to do it off his chain into throw (AAA2A); Ricardo will be less likely to move forward while Norris is attacking and throwing them
-when doing Ricardo's 2nd AA after the 1st JA, make sure to hold 3, not 6, so that Norris will do a jump 2A, which will carry him far less forward than a jump 6A; which will make it easier to land the 2147S afterward

-this combo showcases how you want to throw the opponent if both characters aren't on the same horizontal plane, and you want Norris to remain in front

-there are 2 components to keep in mind when starting a combo with Norris' jumping throw: 1) what direction you want your teammate to jump, 2) what position and direction you want Norris to throw the enemy
-if you want to start Norris' jumping throw as 5J instead of 4/6J, you need to wait til Ricardo actually jumps off the ground before steering Norris in a direction, otherwise you can make Ricardo end up jumping left or right

-this is an example of a jumping throw starter where both characters are on the same horizontal plane
-Norris' slide cannot cancel into a jump, so you can press J just before doing the 28A to make Ricardo jump straight up and avoid recovering slower and further away from a whiffed 28A

-to get Norris' fast air 5S, you must do an air J first, but you can't combo into air J unless they're high in the air up-close (like after F.Norris' 6S); use Ricardo's 28A to accomplish this without using life

-this show-off combo might be against the Rooster only; I got it once by luck; notice that I start hitting the Rooster with AAA when he's starting to pass across Norris to the other side

-this is a variation on side switching after a jumping throw, where instead you have Ricardo jumping past Norris, away from the edge of the screen (instead of straight up)
