The totality of corpus of Ifa are 256(two hundred and fifty-six)

The 256 odus were divided into two ,clarifications leads to clear understanding of concepts.

We have the principal (oju odu) which are 16 in numbers while the combined (Amulu Odu) was 240 in numbers .

By addition it forms 256.

At this points , we are still debating on the principal Odu Ifa ,which were sixteen in numbers

Meanwhile Obara meji exhibits position 7th .
