Why are Catalytic Oxidizers Necessary?

How do Catalytic Oxidizers work?
Catalytic monoliths (catalysts) are used within the oxidizer to destroy VOCs via chemical reaction. Catalysts use a lower temperature air stream to destroy VOCs than a thermal oxidizer; can result in a fuel savings of 40-60%
Certain materials may not be compatible with a catalyst, so catalytic oxidizers aren’t used for as many manufacturing processes as thermal oxidizers
