This is the longplay of the game Super Mario Bros. 2, is a platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Famicom Disk System (the floppy disk system for NES). This game was released in Japan only on June 3, 1986, it is the true straight sequence of Super Mario Bros.

This game consists of eight worlds in each of which there are four stages, thus being very similar to the previous game. However, the noticeable difference is its greater difficulty, containing new elements such as poisonous mushrooms that damage the player (coming out of blocks in the same way as ordinary mushrooms) and Warp Zones that take the player to previous worlds (in the previous game, these Warp Zones only led to worlds beyond).

Due to the perceived frustrating difficulty of the game, Nintendo decided not to release it in the US and Europe, and so ended up using the model of another Nintendo game (Doki Doki Panic) to make its own version of the game, completely different from the original version. .

A full remake of SMB 2 (FDS), Super Mario Bros .: The Lost Levels, was included in Super Mario All-Stars (SNES).
