Paint Correction & Ceramic Protection On This Mini Cooper

Mini Cooper - Correction Detail

A recent purchase for a customer of mine. After an initial inspection, the vehicle wasn’t in that bad condition.

I started by whipping the wheels off and thoroughly cleaning out the arches. I put the wheels back on, lowered the vehicle and got to work with the decontamination wash for the paintwork. Starting with a fallout remover, to break down any unwanted contaminants, which a normal shampoo will struggle to remove. I then layer that with a snow foam and agitate using a dedicated wash mitt. Once this process has been completed, I then start to remove tar spots from the vehicle. After the decontamination wash, using another layer of snow foam, I start to clay the vehicle, using a clay mitt (I use the snow foam as lubrication for the clay mitt).

Once the wash process has been completed, I move on to paint correction. I start with a ‪@GYEON_official‬ heavy cut pad on my ‪@MilwaukeeTool‬ cordless rotary machine polisher. Using ​⁠Cartec’s cutting compound, this trio made the cutting process a breeze on this Mini. Once the vehicle has been compounded, I move onto a refinement polish to remove any marks from the cutting process and leaving an immaculate, glossy finish on the paintwork.

Then I get to ceramic coating the Mini using Gyeon MOHS for the paintwork, Gyeon RIM for the wheels and then Gyeon CanCoat for the glass.
