How difficult is it to buy and install a set of wire wheels on a car? In my case it turned out to be very difficult indeed. Not only did a lockdown get in the way, but then new tyres were needed, the spare had to be painted and the whole lot re-balanced, then to cap it all the car had to be modified to fit them! Join me and find out everything I learnt and more in a slightly lengthy but hopefully informative video.

The car is a 1964 Triumph 12/50. One of 500 made between 1963 and '65 by Australian Motor Industries (AMI) in Port Melbourne using Vitesse bonnets, Spitfire engines and a number of other off the shelf parts. Fewer than 10 remaining now.

Also, because someone is bound to ask, I've cleaned up the old wheels, painted them and they are now safely in storage for future reference.
