J&K Tackle takes a much-needed break and heads down to Anderson Ranch for a little half day Kokanee fishing trip. We usually hit Anderson in early August for the big mature Kokanee that the lake is known for. We gathered some information from Paula at Kokanee Tackle Boise while restocking inventory. She was planning on a trip to Payette Lake in McCall on the same day we were planning on going to Anderson and she warned us that the big Kokes had turned early at Anderson. Possibly due to the extreme heat experienced over the last few weeks... beware of the DINKS!
