So it's 2012... the year that the world was supposedly going to end. The message behind this song is based off of a tale of fire, perseverance and pride. The first half starts off dark and gloomy, but it eventually becomes clear that we can take anything and everything that the universe throws at us and overcome it. Even when things seem bleak and dismal, IN THE END everyone can come together and make the world brighter and better.

*Note: The cut off date for this mix was December 1st, 2012. So if a song has been trending after that date, it would already go into the next year. Billboard's cut off date is September, leaving a lot of songs out of the year that they were popular in. That's why I'm basing these mixes off of the weekly charts, as opposed to Billboard's year end list.*
