RALEIGH, NC (May 7, 2024) Hanley House – who was crowned Miss America’s Teen after representing the state of North Carolina at the national competition in January – will be honored with a North Carolina Homecoming Celebration on Saturday, May 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium at Johnston Community College. House is the first North Carolina representative to win the national title in the teen division of the Miss America Opportunity for young women ages 13-18 who compete in private interview, fitness, evening gown and talent.

“I’m looking forward to being honored during this special homecoming celebration with my family, friends, pageant sisters and members of the community,” said House. “I also look forward to continuing my reign as Miss America’s Teen and proudly representing my home state of North Carolina by empowering teens across the country to find their passion and take action.”

A tradition long-held by national pageant systems, the North Carolina Homecoming for House will be followed by a reception and autograph signing. In addition to House, special guests include Miss North Carolina 2023 Taylor Loyd, the newly crowned Miss North Carolina’s Teen 2023 Annika Schneider and others from the Miss America Organization. State and local government officials will also be attending to congratulate House on her win.

“It’s truly a historic moment for North Carolina, and we are looking forward to celebrating Hanley and her accomplishments,” said John Norris, State Teen Director of the Miss North Carolina Organization.
