Roland TR-09 vs DinSync RE-909, a casual comparison

I recently added the RE-909 from DinSync to my collection. It's not a clone, it's a replica! True to the legendary original from Roland, TR-909.

-This isn't a very scientific comparison, this is just to give you and idea of the sonic differences between the two machines.
It really is two completely different vibes of the 909 sound. I much prefer the crunchy RE-909, but for travelling the TR-09 is hard to beat. Nothing wrong or right, just a matter of taste.

The RE-909 comes in a kit, and my particular unit is build by my good friend Fredrik Andersson.
