This video shows the process to remove and reinstall the ignition assembly on a 2011-2015 Tiguan. They are renowned for failing internally, either jamming in the off position (so car can’t be started) or jamming in the on position (so car can’t be turned off).

The majority of the process is the same for 2008-2010 Tiguan, and Golf, Caddy, etc, just some different connections on the clock spring.
