Seabirds are the most endangered family of birds in the world, and the ways they are struggling speak to the larger problems at work in our oceans:

☀️ a changing climate forcing their ranges to shift,

🐟 depleted fish stocks,

🎣 wasteful fishing harvesting unwanted species that are ultimately discarded,

🚢 unsafe fishing practices that harm wildlife, and

🌊 marine energy development are taking their toll on seabirds.

These problems are largely invisible to people and daily life on land, unless we are looking for them. But Seabirds bring them out of the depths and into the light.
