Hi everyone! It's been only a couple of weeks and I'm already back with a new song! This one is inspired by Dornman port. I tried to go for a Mondstadt feel with the chorus, however, the beginning is heavily inspired by "Rainbo Conversation" by Stereolab. It's kinda Afro-Cuban, which at first glace might not exactly fit Dornman port, which is supposedly going to be inspired by the medieval Dutch culture, but there are two reasons why that's okay. Hear me out:

1) The Netherlands were a huge centre of trade back in the day, so clearly it was a melting pot of different cultures and influences. I think that mixing some uneven metres and Afro-Cuban polyrithms with an orchestra and also a more modern band works out fine.

2) I wanted to avoid those rhythms at first but I just couldn't. I went over multiple drafts and none of them felt right, so I just went through with whatever I had in my head initially. That's just how it is 😭

Um, anyway, I tried to use a less spectacular style for this video, partially because the spectarular approach didn't really work out in the previous videos, partially because I don't wanna spend hours on editing and thumbnail, and partially because I feel like this is more authentic. I'll see where it leads me. I'll probably be making more stuff in a similar, calmer style in the future (unless this video performs really poorly)
